I'm Scott Brown Fisheries Biologist with an extensive background in wildlife management. My degree in Fish and Wildlife Biology and Management is from the University of Missouri. I started my career with the state of Missouri, with the majority of my experience in the state of Florida conducting research and implementing management strategies for largemouth bass, striped bass, panfish, catfish species and their habitats.
I have experience with large river systems, streams, lakes, ponds and wetlands. I’ve written a technical manual on pond management, which the state of Florida still uses today. During my tenure in Florida, I researched and managed small lakes for quality largemouth bass, panfish and channel catfish angling in Northeast Florida, while contending with some of the highest fishing pressure recorded in the state. The program received national recognition, and I have given presentations at conferences around the country as a subject matter expert on quality pond development and management. Those in Florida and Georgia may know me as Scotty Brown on the Saturday morning Thigpen Heating & Cooling Outdoors Show on AM 1010 from Jacksonville, Florida.
As a youth, I spent most of my free time hunting and fishing in central and southern Missouri. I hunt deer and hogs with a bow and waterfowl, turkey and dove. I have hunted several states throughout the south and New York. I have trained and hunted with Labrador Retrievers for over 18 years, and produced some outstanding litters of hunting dogs and companions. I have been a member of Ducks Unlimited over 20 years, and a Chapter Committee Member for 14. I am currently the Chairman of the Allen, Texas Chapter. During my career I have been a member of the National and State Chapters of The American Fisheries Society and The Wildlife Society.

I began doing business in early 2007. After 25 years in various levels of state government I decided I receive the most satisfaction when assisting private landowners with their fish and wildlife management issues. As state governments reduce budgets and staff, the private landowner is receiving less and less service from these once resourceful knowledge bases. Most landowners want to improve the natural resources on their property, but either don't know how, or do not have the time to learn how. I work at educating the landowner to better manage for quality sportfish and wildlife. Although the company is new, it is headed up by an extremely knowledgeable and experienced outdoor professional and resource user.
